Artotel Batam | Meeting Room Rental Batam

It was a real pleasant stay at ARTOTEL. The location is superb. Grand Mall is just across the road (but crossing the road is a great challenge), a traditional market is few meters away with lots of delicious local food. Growing up in the region (an island not far from Batam), I was quite surprised that the fried noodles provided during breakfast was pretty authentic to the region (more savoury) as compare to other hotels in Batam (that I have visited) which have Javanese style (more sweet). The sambals are great too. I am particularly loving that they have a Jamu stall for guests. The room was tidy and comfortable, the shower room was also very clean.

Strategic location with decent hotel set up. Available night drinking place at lobby. Good security control with card access restriction to floors. Walking distance to Grand Battam Mall and Batam City Centre. Singapore view from far distance 🤭

My family and I stayed at Artotel a couple of weeks ago and we had a lovely stay. It’s a pretty new hotel so the amenities and ambience were pretty sleek and modern. There was a good spread for the buffet breakfast and everything was very clean. Room was very spacious and comfortable. We requested for an additional bed since we were 2A2C. The additional bed we got was shaky due to a missing wheel and we ended up having to stack the slippers given to stabilize the bed. Kettle was available upon request too. The water from the tap came out a little brownish at first and we got to let the tap flow for a bit before clear water came through. It was honestly our first time experiencing this as all our previous stays in Batam were in the resort areas and we didn’t encounter this. The hotel is most suitable for those who intend to shop or have local meals or explore local markets as it is quite centralized and convenient. Crossing over to the Grand Batam mall was a nightmare as we got horned at while crossing the zebra crossing and the vehicles didn’t bother to stop even at zebra crossings and we had two kids in tow so it was pretty terrifying to cross. Despite it all, still giving it 5 stars for the overall cleanliness, comfort, good spread of food, and friendly staff at the hotel!

Very simple hotel, not even a swimming pool but who needs a pool when there are so many places to visit around the place! Grand Batam Mall, A2 food court, many spa venue, market place is all within 10min walk. Staff are all very friendly and always smiley. Despite running full house, service is fast. We always feel safe cos there's always someone at the lobby lift area to facilitate guest entering the hotel. Rooms are clean with the basic amenities such as toiletries, towels, coffee machine and mini fridge. You will need to turn on the fridge yourself. Towels, toiletries and bottled water are top up daily. Hot water kettle is available upon request. They provide plastic bathroom slippers, not the cotton bedroom slippers, just to note. Room is fairly spacious with no problem fitting in a spare bed. Maybe the only down side that I can nitpick is the extra bed.. It's on the hard side compared to the normal beds in the room. Oh.. They have rain shower in the bathroom if you are a fan =)
