Aliyaa, which name means 'peaceful elephants' in Singhalese, is the only restaurant in Kuala Lumpur that serves up fine dining Sri Lankan cuisine. Located in the heart of Bukit Damansara, the restaurant cum bar serves authentic dishes using a distinctively different spice blend from the neighbouring India. Most of their spices and ingredients are imported from Sri Lanka itself to ensure its consistency in authentic flavours and home-style food. The two-storey provides a quiet ambience for regular dining, or even private dining. One of the famous appetizers would be the 'Prawn Cocktail Ala Arugambay', which is freshly marinated prawns drizzled with homemade sauce accompanied with crunchy julienne vegetables, served cold in a martini glass. Another recommended starter would be the Sri Lankan Sambal Set, which consists of four different types of sambal to be savored along with any Sri Lankan dishes. Both floors of the outlet has a long bar set up that serves various alcoholic beverages and cocktails. Aliyaa is known to have one of the largest single malt collections in Malaysia.
