Where is Glass Dome and how accessible is it?

full glass facade with curved rooftop and trees lining the walkwayGlass Dome is located at 28 China Street, Far East Square, right in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District. But it doesn’t feel like a typical CBD venue. You’re surrounded by heritage buildings and walkable food spots. It’s central, but not chaotic.

Public transport and walkability

You won’t need to create a long-winded “how to get here” slide. Your guests can just take the MRT and walk over.

  • Telok Ayer MRT (Downtown Line): Approximately 3 minutes on foot. The Telok Ayer Station Exit A on Cross Street is about 150m from the venue.
  • Maxwell MRT (Thomson–East Coast Line): Around 2 minutes on foot. Maxwell Station (TE18) is roughly 100m away, practically adjacent to Far East Square.
  • Raffles Place MRT (East-West/North-South Line): About 6 to 8 minutes’ walk. It’s roughly 500m from Far East Square. Exiting toward Telok Ayer Street or Market Street, it’s an easy walk (under 10 minutes) through the CBD to 28 China Street.

Easy access to food and amenities

outdoor view of white tiled multi-level structure with visible food outlets and peopleGlass Dome doesn’t allow external catering, so some planners worry about options. Good news is food courts, cafes, and quick bites surround you. That makes things simpler for pre-event meals or post-session breaks.

Nearby spots:

  • Amoy Street Food Centre: A popular hawker centre is just down Telok Ayer Street/Maxwell Road, only a few minutes’ walk from the Glass Dome. It offers a huge variety of local eats for lunch or a quick bite. This would be 3 to 5 minutes on foot (essentially across the street from Far East Square).
  • Cross Street Exchange: The modern retail and F&B complex (formerly China Square Central) is directly adjacent, right across Cross Street from Far East Square. It houses cafes, restaurants, shops, and even a supermarket, all within 2 to 3 minutes’ walk.
  • Telok Ayer Street Cafés: The Telok Ayer neighborhood is filled with chic cafes, bars, and eateries. In fact, Telok Ayer Street runs along one side of Far East Square, so places like My Awesome Café, Sarnies, and many others are literally around the corner (1 to 3 minutes away). There are also coffee joints and dessert shops within Far East Square itself and nearby streets.

If you're hosting an all-day event, your guests won’t have to leave the area or settle for bland options. That helps with engagement. No one wants to come back from lunch hungry.

Directions are clear and the venue is findable

We’ve been to events where half the attendees show up late because the venue was buried behind construction fencing. Not here.

Planners and attendees should find the venue relatively easy to locate, especially with the help of Google Maps. Far East Square itself is a known landmark, and the Glass Dome’s unique glass structure and address make it identifiable.

  • Clear signage at Far East Square
  • Google Maps pin is accurate
  • The venue host, Grace, usually sends detailed directions after confirmation

If you're planning for a diverse crowd, youth groups, corporate guests, media partners, this location works across the board.

Why choose Glass Dome for your next event?

angled view of ring with overhead lights and metal truss structure in event venueMost event venues in Singapore either feel too stiff or too busy. Glass Dome doesn’t fall into either trap. It’s built for people who want their event to do more than just tick a box.

Here’s what sets it apart.

It respects your purpose

We’ve seen groups come in here with community goals, wellness campaigns, or social enterprise launches. And every time, the venue fits the tone. You don’t have to fake the alignment or dress the place up with extra branding.

  • Events with mission-driven agendas actually feel natural here
  • The space supports collaboration, not just spectacle
  • There’s room for exhibitions, panels, and moments in between

It gives you control without micromanaging

Some venues make you feel like you’re being watched every minute. Others leave you to figure things out alone. Glass Dome sits somewhere in the middle.

  • You get access to AV and layout support without being locked into rigid formats
  • The team responds quickly and actually listens (planners say Grace is helpful, not pushy)
  • You’re trusted to co-create something real

It works well for hybrid or in-person-first setups

Whether you’re going full in-person or planning a hybrid activation, the venue holds up. No need to panic about connectivity or visuals.

  • Fast Wi-Fi that holds up for live streaming
  • LED walls and audio setups already built-in
  • Enough room to mix virtual and on-site elements
