Chamber @ The Arts House

Situated in the heart of The Arts House, the Chamber was the place where Members of the Singapore Parliament gathered to debate policies. The Chamber is furnished with customised furniture from London, complete with original upholstery from 1954. A castle motif from the coat of arms used during the time Singapore was a Crown Colony can still be seen on some seats in the main chamber. Today, the versatile space accommodates up to 200 people and is used for recitals, performances and conferences. With a central aisle, the intimate space also serves as a great venue for fashion shows and wedding events.

Occupying the almost 200-year-old building that was Singapore's first Parliament House, The Arts House has been offering its audiences a broad range of arts and culture programmes. It also plays an active role in the Singapore creative scene. Once a space where Singapore’s most important decisions were made, the former Parliamentary Chamber is the highlight of The Arts House, and is now a popular event space Singapore for musical performances, stage productions and conferences. Other venue options include a black box theatre, galleries, multi-purpose rooms, and a screening room, featuring a digital cinema projector and 7.1 Dolby surround sound. The different rooms available at the Art House make it easier for hosts to pick a perfect venue regardless if it is a birthday party or a fashion show, The Art House is able to cater to those needs.
